Todays clash is in the Regionalliga Südwest (4th tier).
FSV Frankfurt are not to be confused with their illustrious city neighbours Eintracht (with whom they actually merged briefly, during WWII). Also not be confused with the other Frankfurt (am Oder) which is in Brandenburg, and whose team (FC) play in the Oberliga Nord. Meanwhile, SGV Freiberg hail from Freiberg am Neckar, north of Stuttgart – not to confused with the Bundesliga team S.C. Freiburg (with a ‘u’) who are from the Black Forest. Also not to be confused with Freiberg, Saxony (University, mining) or Freiburg, Switzerland (University, goats). NB Freiburg = “free town”, Freiberg = “free mountain”. Thanks.
