It feels like a sacrilege to be in Köln and not to pick a Kölsch as my Beer of the Day. But that’s what I’m going to do. The regular Augustiner Helles Bier is one of the undisputed greats of the German Helles beer style. But the Edelstoff (slightly maltier & sweeter, & a touch stronger) is outstanding, and it’s so great to see it on draft. A solid 9/10 from me.
