Today : The Mighty Rindswurst.

Served with a smile from one of the many food and beer outlets at SV Darmstadt’s stadium, this beef sausage is definitely worth a go. Queuing is not a problem if you time it right.

Originally created in Frankfurt in the late nineteenth century to supply a kosher sausage to the local Jewish community, it’s now a regular at many grounds up and down the country. This version is a little milder than the pork-based alternatives – but still a welcome option.

Verdict: 6/10
